With a beer in one tentacle and a book in another, Paper Darts is taking back the lit scene, one lame pen and quill metaphor at a time.

We are primarily a magazine, but we are also a publishing press, a creative agency, a community, and an idea.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

Jamie Millard

Executive Director
Co-Founder

Jamie mostly tells people where to sit. Then tweets about it.

As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Paper Darts, Jamie brings to the octopus her delight for big picture, strategic planning, and results oriented action plans--ultimately working to strengthen and build capacity for the arts sector. When not working on Paper Darts, Jamie is a Client Relationship Manager at Fast Horse and she also serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. When not collaborating on new, exciting ventures (which is rare), you’ll find Jamie walking her dogs or drooling over the newest tech gadget or video game.

Holly Harrison

Marketing Director

Holly wears glasses, wields commas. Has a sensitive nose.

Holly's role at Paper Darts combines the solitary and pseudo-social. She copyedits all print and online content, weighs in on everything that comes through the slush pile, and helps to mold Paper Darts through developmental edits and solicitations. Holly steers Paper Darts' marketing and social media ship—tweeting, Facebooking, pinning, and mistaking Internet engagement for actually meeting people. By day, Holly is the Communications and Accounts Manager at Lake Street Council. When not working or Paper Darting, she lines her wallet with freelance writing and editing and is as likely to pick up a video game in her downtime as a book. Maybe a bit more likely to pick up a video game than a book, truth be told.

Matt Beachey

Managing Editor of Pollen

Matt's job involves making you smile, hate, and love Paper Darts. Matt Beachey is catlike. Not in terms of grace or poise, but more in the way that cats prefer to lay in the sun most of the time. Basically a house cat. But he resists these slothful urges with a self-implemented Tom Cat demeanor, which calls him to explore his neighborhood and beyond. One day he wandered up to the Paper Darts headquarters (doesn’t actually exist, don’t go looking for it) and found a cozy stoop to nap on. When he awoke, a bowl of milk was left out for him. Now he returns often.

Alyssa Bluhm

Editorial and Marketing Intern

As Editorial and Marketing intern, Alyssa studies and delivers a one-two punch of what makes Paper Darts rad. When she isn’t digging up new artists and writers to feature or tweeting up a storm on Paper Darts’ account, she studies journalism at the University of Minnesota, where she is also Managing Editor for The Wake Student Magazine. Alyssa is a huge word nerd when it comes to the German language, and writes children’s books auf Deutsch in her head when she does boring things like waiting for the bus.

Outside of Paper Darts, Morgan works full time as a Project Coordinator at Tiger Oak Publications and is the Assistant Arts Editor at the Twin Cities Daily Planet in her free time (she e-mails a lot). She comes from Milwaukee and enjoys good and medicore beers alike.

Dakota Sexton

Genre Editor

When not reading exciting stories or reporting as a Genre Editor for Paper Darts, Dakota is attracted to half-baked travel plans like a Derby pony is to an apple. She also likes to pursue "rugged" activities at work, but will always remain an impressionable nerd and a prominent giggler. You can catch sight of her honing her craft as a web designer in warm and fragrant places throughout the twin cities.
